How to Benefit From the Current Global Economic Change & Navigate Its Risks
BBC Audio will release the New York Times and Wall Street Journal #1 bestseller, When Markets Collide: Investment Strategies for the Age of Global Economic Change by Mohamed El-Erian, former deputy Director of the International Monetary Fund and CEO of the world's biggest bond fund, Pacific Investment Management Co, on November 11, 2008.
While some experts and investors have viewed irrational investment pricing as mere "noise," When Markets Collide argues they are critical signals of opportunities and risks that will shape the market for years to come. Mohamed El-Erian puts recent events in their proper context, providing the critical tools that can help listeners interpret the markets, benefit from global economic change, and navigate the risks.
Global growth is now being heavily influenced by nations that previously had little influence. Former debtor nations are building unforeseen wealth and, thus, enjoying unprecedented influence and facing unusual challenges. New financial investment products have changed the behavior of many market segments and players. Yet, despite all these changes, the system's infrastructure is yet to be upgraded to reflect the realities of today's and tomorrow's world.
